  Brandon Murray

-13-13 - 1st PG National pitch from 2014 RHP Brandon Murray (Hobart, IN) was 98 mph

-2-13 - 32. Brandon Murray- RHP, Hobart (IN) HS http://www.ninebaseball.org/Wordpress/jeff-sullivans-top-100-2014-prospects/

-24-13  -  9. Brandon Murray, rhp, Hobert (Ind.) High/Region Storm - Murray, a South Carolina signee, is another pitcher with elite arm strength. He sits 92-94 mph and touches 95 with above-average armside run from his three-quarters arm slot. Murray has an athletic 6-foot-4, 200-pound build with sloped shoulders, a tapered waist and strong legs that offers projection. His high-70s slider with two-plane break is his best secondary pitch. Although currently inconsistent, his low-80s changeup showed good tumble. He is working on reducing the effort in his delivery, which includes a head whack, and repeating it more consistently. http://www.baseballamerica.com/draft/tyler-koleks-heavy-fastball-among-tournament-of-stars-standouts/

-27-13 - Player:  Brandon Murray   Primary Position:  RHP  Secondary Position(s):  1B  Height/Weight:  6’4/200  Bats/Throws:  R/R  Home Town:  Hobart, IN  School:  Hobart  Class of:  2014  - Committed To:  South Carolina -  2013 Tournament of Stars notes from Don Olsen  - Brandon has an ideal height with narrow athletic build, little bit of development in the hips and rear in a Jeremy Bondermann type mold.  Good push drive from the lower half; arm shows a little wrap and elevation with a decent slot at plant.  Really good weight transfer and extension allows him to keep it down in the zone constantly.  Really good arm speed and drive using the entire body.  He is a solid athlete that fields well, shows the one step lateral agility, high caliber athlete.  Fastball was 92-93 (94) mph, with a bit of hand side tail with the ¾ delivery.  Curve, 79-81, flashed some depth and solid 11/5 type movement in a power curve type offering.  He did not show a change up in event.  Good athlete and some items to iron, but arm speed you want to see. http://bigleaguefutures.net/1/2013/08/26/2014-mlb-draft-profile-brandon-murray/

-29-13 – XMLBScout – 16.)RHP, Brandon Murray, 6'2 1/2 185, R/R, Hobart HS, Hobart, IN, this kid has arm strength from 3/4 arm slot for 3 pitches, a fb that runs in on RHH and sinks away on occasion, his change and slider both from same arm slot and deceptive to hitters. Slider still in development stage it seems, not a sharp breaker, but enough to fool hitters at this level. FB velo was 89-94, most were 90-91, not afraid to pitch down in the zone, competitor and the type of body to fill out in time, small shoulder frame. http://xmlbscout.angelfire.com/
