He was 8-2 with a 0.21 ERA http://www.maxpreps.com/news/article.aspx?articleid=7c0ad513-b5e1-4ac1-b57e-8dedcc72c783&page=10

7-5-13 - Cameron Varga, RHP, Cincinnati Hills Academy (OH) - A converted shortstop, the 6’-3”, 205-pound right-hander has established himself as one of the top prep arms in the 2014 MLB draft in a short time, thanks in part to a fastball that sits at 93-95 mph. With his lively arm and fluid delivery, there is still room for added velocity. He adds an /upper-70s curveball with good depth and a solid upper-70s change-up. Considering he has only been pitching full time for two years, his progression has been scary. Committed to North Carolina. http://throughthefencebaseball.com/prep-arms-chicago-cubs/34856#Vp7zJ4JvRevfV1fR.99

8-15-13 - Under Armour All-Star Game – Cameron Varga, RHP: Varga already has a good pitchers build at 6'3", 205 lbs. and sits in the low 90s and can touch 95 mph.  His secondaries are developing.  http://www.chicagonow.com/cubs-den/2013/08/2014-mlb-draft-ua-game-roster-and-preview-plus-more-tickets-and-meet-up-information/

B/R – 11-21-13 - 15. Los Angeles Angels: Luis Ortiz, RHP, Sanger HS (Calif.) - At 6’3”, 220 pounds, Luis Ortiz lacks the physical projection one targets in a high school pitcher. Additionally, the right-hander is one of the older prep prospects in the draft class, set to turn 19 next fall. However, neither of those concerns can discount the fact that he boasts an explosive 92-95 mph fastball from an easy delivery, complemented by a sharp slider in the low- to mid-80s that profiles as at least an above-average offering at maturity. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1860341-2014-mlb-mock-draft-early-first-round-projections-for-all-30-teams/page/10

2-9-13 – Pine Tar Press  -  24- RHP Cameron Varga Christian Academy HS (North Carolina Commit) 8/19/94- He has fallen on some draft boards because he missed significant showcase opportunities with biceps tendinitis. Scouts were excited to see him at Jupiter as many had not seen him throw since the spring. But, he cancelled at the last moment and he becomes a very important follow this spring. He is also one of the oldest HS players in this draft but his arm should make up for that. He is a true power pitcher who also has an excellent curveball. He should be a 95-97 guy at his ceiling in the pros. In Minnesota at PG national he threw 95 and showed a 12 to 6 hammer curve at 80 and a slider at 83.
