  1. Nice win by the Mets. Great pitching and defense again. But I have to say it makes me sick that Terry gives Recker that much playing time while dArnaud is finally starting to hit.

I'm not a big TC fan. I also don't ink it was his decision who plays catcher.

The Mets have a lot invested in d'Arnaud and the future will be much brighter if he is an all-star catcher through this decade. For that to happen, watch for them to "control" his innings this season, sort of like you do with a pitching prospect.

D'Arnaud is coming off multi-injuries and having today off gave the Mets the chance to rest him for two days (no game on Monday). Trust me, him and Abreu would have been the first two pinch hitter bats of the bench if they were needed today.

It also doesn't hurt that the Mets have not lost a game this year with Recker catching.

    Duda swinging well.
Gee shows you can win in this league without lethal heat.

  4. Pretty amazing April, the Spring was a mess, they get swept by the Nats to open season, now 14-11... ..any chance, any chance Mack that the Mets become buyers ?? Sign Drew and take a a salary dump closer on their hands..or if things continue same way for another 3 weeks can they turn buyer?? Sandy is like a Cheetah stalking the high grass imo and when he makes his move it will be a thing of beauty...

  5. I continue to be a huge Gee fan.....we have lots of talented 'prospects' with live arms and 95+ fastballs, but Dillon Gee throws quality starts, in the majors, right now. .......
