INJURY UPDATE - OF - Juan Lagares

 
The officially place Juan Lagares on the 15-Day DL with a pulled right hamstring and recall Kirk Nieuwenhuis from Las Vegas (AAA).

    Apparently, Kirk has decided to make up for all of 2013 in tonight's game.......Good for him. Go Mets!

    Any word on severity of Juan's hammy? I heard Cervelli has leg injury and will miss several weeks. Hopefully, Juan's is minor.

    Grade 1 strain....7 to 10 days rest....Similar to Mark Texiera's hammy injury.

    Cervelli's was a grade 2 strain which is indicative of a slight tear in the muscle which is why he was placed on the 60 day DL. He's out 8-12 weeks.
