LAST GAME: Kevin Plawecki finished a triple shy of the cycle and the Binghamton Mets erased a pair of deficits in an 8-6 win over the New Britain Rock Cats on Saturday night at NYSEG Stadium. Plawecki launched his third home run in as many games and reached base safely in all five plate appearances to lead the B-Mets to their second straight win. Binghamton overcame a 4-0 deficit and plated four unanswered runs to close out the game. Kyle Johnson chipped in with a two-run double and Travis Taijeron blasted his third home run of the season. Darrell Cecilianibroke a tie game with a two-run single in the seventh against losing pitcher Adrian SalcedoJohn Church earned the win while Chasen Bradford collected his tenth save.

BINGHAMTON STARTER: LHP Angel Cuan makes his second start of the season. The southpaw was roughed up in his season debut against the Sea Dogs on Monday, May 19. He was tagged for eight runs on a dozen hits over four innings of work in the loss. The southpaw made one appearance for the Binghamton Mets last season, making a spot-start against the Richmond Flying Squirrels on July 16, 2013. Cuan spent the rest of the 2013 with St. Lucie (High-A), going 8-3 with a 3.57 ERA over 27 games (12 starts). The Panama native was signed as a non-drafted free agent by the Mets in September 2007.

NEW BRITAIN STARTER: LHP Sean Gilmartin takes the mound for his ninth start of the season. The California native struck out nine over eight innings in a win in his last start against the Flying Squirrels on Tuesday, May 20. He allowed two runs on four hits while walking no one to stretch his unbeaten stretch to five games. In his last four starts, he’s gone 2-0 with a 2.52 ERA. Gilmartin spent the first three years of his career in the Braves organization before getting traded to the Twins in exchange for Ryan Doumit in December 2013.

HE MAY  BE ON FIRE: B-Mets catcher Kevin Plawecki hit .250 in April with three doubles. He collected three RBI and posted a .304 slugging percentage. The Indiana native has flipped the switch in May with a .395 batting average, eight doubles, four home runs and 21 RBI. Over 19 games, he’s compiled a .658 slugging percentage and hit safely in all but three contests.

THE B-METS LATELY: Since the first game of their nine-game road trip on May 16, the B-Mets have two players ranked in the top three in batting average. Matt Reynolds is hitting a league-best .452 (19-for-42) and has compiled a .531 on-base percentage in his last 11 games. In his last nine games, Kevin Plawecki is batting .432 (16-for-37) with six multiple-hit games.

STARTING TO HEAT UP: Dustin Lawley has hit safely in four straight games. The stretch includes three multiple-hit games, including a two-hit game on Saturday. Lawley made started at third base in seven of the last eight games in the absence of Brian Burgamy who remains on the disabled list with a right hamstring strain.

RIGHT BACK AT YOU: The B-Mets erased a pair of deficits to earn their largest comeback win of the season on Saturday. Binghamton had lost a lead in each of their last five games before Saturday’s comeback.

REYNOLDS STILL ROLLING: Matt Reynolds has hit safely in each of his last eleven games. He’s batting .452 during the streak.

SUNDAY FUNDAY: The B-Mets have gone 5-1 on Sundays this season. Their only loss came against the Portland Sea Dogs on May 4.
