Fresno (23-24) flips Las Vegas (32-14) 5-4.

 
Noah Syndergaard was done in by the gopher ball: 5.0 IP, 3 R, 5 H, (2 HR) 2 BB, 6 K.
Buddy Carlyle: 1.0 IP, 0 R, H, 2 K.
Miguel Socolovich (BS, 2) (L, 1-2) was a gopher ball victim too: 2.0 IP, 2 R, 3 H, (HR) BB, 2 K.

Zach Lutz: 2-4, 2B.
Kirk Nieuwenhuis: 1-4, HR, 2 RBI, R.
Mighty Mouse, Omar Quintanilla, homers for the 2nd time in 4 games: 2-4, HR, RBI, R.

 

 

Game 1: Portland (29-15) pops Binghamton (24-19) 5-1.

Following a pattern, Luis Cessa (L, 0-1) got rocked in his first start at a new level: 3.2 IP, 5 R, 7 H, (2 HR) 2 BB, 3 K.
Hamilton Bennett: 2.1 IP, 2 H, BB.

Matt Reynolds, Matt Clark and Dustin Lawley, all 2-3. Lawley with a 2B.

 

Make Up - Game 2: Portland (30-15) nips Binghamton (24-20) 6-5 to complete the sweep.

The B-Mets built a 5-0 lead in the 1st two innings, only to have Portland come back with a 5 run 5th inning to eke out the win.

Matt Bowman (L, 3-2) was sailing along until he couldn’t get out of the 5th: 4.2 IP, 6 R, 6 H, 4 BB, 3 K.
Chase Bradford: 1.1 IP, 0 R, 3 H, 0 BB, K.

Matt Reynolds: 2-4, RBI, R.
Matt Clark: 2-4, 2B, 3 RBI.

 

St. Lucie (27-19) clips Clearwater (9-34) 5-2.

Domingo Tapia needs to find his command: 4.0 IP, R, H, 4 BB, 5 K.
Hunter Carnivale: (W, 1-0) 2.0 IP, R, 2 H, K.
Ryan Fraser: 2.0 IP, 2 H, BB.
Randy Fontanez: (S, 6) 1.0 perfect inning. (K)

Dilson Herrera: 3-4, HR, 2B, 2 RBI, 2 R, SB. (The Alderson acquisition, along with Vic Black, in the Byrd/Buck trade, is doing it all this year. Batting .328 with a .366 OBP and 11 SB with only 2 CS. )
Brandon Nimmo: 1-2, 2 BB, RBI. (Tha amazing Nimmo got on base in 3 of his 4 PA‘s.)
Phillip Evans: 2-4.
