Mets Minor League Report: June 26, 2014



MMLR Players of the Day: The Kingsport bull pen, that did not give up an earned run over 10 innings, until the offense could put a couple of runs on the board.

 

Sacramento (456-34) tops Las Vegas (47-33) 7-5 in 11 innings.

Noah Syndergaard had his problems this night: 4.0 IP, 5 R, 5 H, 3 BB, 4 K.
Zack Thornton was perfect through 3.0 innings. (3 K)
Erik Goeddel: 1.0 IP, 0 R, 2 H, BB.
Ryan Reid: 2.0 IP, 0 R, 2 H, BB.
Buddy Carlyle: (L, 3-2) 0.2 IP, 2 R, 2 H, 0 BB, K.

Kevin Plawecki hit a game tying solo HR in the top of the 9th inning, taking Thor off the hook.

Jack Leathersich pitched a perfect 8th, striking our 2 if the 3 batters he faced.

The offense was nothing to write home about, with 3 hits spread out, including a two bagger by Brandon Nimmo. Dustin Lawley scored the Mets only run after a walk, and Darrell Ceciliani knocked him in with a single.

 

Fort Myers (46-30) leads St. Lucie (44-32) 3-2 - game suspended after 4 ½ innings - rain.

Five relievers managed to hold the Rays scoreless through 9 more innings.
After the K-Mets scored 2 in the top of the 17th, the 5th of those relievers, James Duff (W, 1-0) gave up an unearned run in his 3rd inning of relief, but held on for the win.
