ReplyDeleteIt was interesting to hear Sandy Alderson saying yesterday that SS Matt Reynolds os almost 'major league ready'.
Good call on that one!
Reynolds stays at AAA .400 with 2 for 5 and Flores shows again he should be in the majors. Great to see Oberste rocking lately (he was also 7 for 7 in 2 games recently) ,and good to see Beck Wheeler healthy and pitching again. There's room for 2 Wheelers on the Mets.
ReplyDeleteNow that the A's and Cubs have really kicked off the trade season. From a Mets perpsective is trading Thor to the Cubs an option for one of their SS prospects. Is Baez - Thor a good deal for either team?

ReplyDeletethere's a shortstop to be had there and the Cubs now need pitching...
Myself? I would trade for Castro for a 2 pitcher package
It would be nice to see the Mets trade prospects for an established MLB players. Castro would seem to be one of those undervalued players that the A's thrive on obtaining. Plus it pushes Tejada into a utility infield role that the Mets desperately need and also a role that he would probably thrive at.
ReplyDeleteWhich 2 pitchers?
