The city of Savannah voted against building a new stadium for the Savannah Sand Gnats today on the river.
Team owners have said that without a new stadium they would move the team to a different city. Speculation is they will agree to play the 2015 season in Grayson Satudium but then move the team to Columbia, South Carolina.
There was no statement on whether or not the team would remain an affiliate of the Mets

You're a southern gentleman, Mack. Would Columbia SC be a real improvement in playing environment? If so, good.
ReplyDeleteColumbia is as hot as Savannah but far less humidity and minimal rain.
ReplyDeleteYes, the conditions would be much better.
