FLUSHING, N.Y. (October 27, 2014) – The New York Mets will open their 2015 Spring Training Grapefruit League schedule Wednesday, March 4 vs. the Atlanta Braves in Disney. The Mets first home game will be Friday, March 6 vs. the American League Central champion Detroit Tigers at 1:10 p.m. in Port St. Lucie, Fla. The Mets will play 33 exhibition games, including 15 home games at Tradition Field.
The Mets will host the Yankees in Port St. Lucie on Sunday, March 22 at 1:10 p.m. and will travel to Tampa to take on their cross-town rivals on Wednesday, March 25 at 1:05 p.m. The Mets will also play the Boston Red Sox Sunday, March 8 in Port St. Lucie at 1:10 p.m.
Manager Terry Collins’ team will play the NL East champion Washington Nationals six times, the NL Central champion St. Louis Cardinals six times, the Miami Marlins six times, the Atlanta Braves four times, the Houston Astros, Tigers, Yankees and Red Sox twice and the Tampa Bay Rays once.
New York will close out their Spring Training schedule with two games vs. the Texas Rangers at Globe Life Park in Arlington on Friday, April 3 and Saturday, April 4.
Season and group tickets for Mets Spring Training games are on sale now by calling the Port St. Lucie Ticket Office at 772-871-2115. In addition, fans can purchase different ticket packages that include the Yankees game, Red Sox game or Opening Day. The Mets today also announced the launch of the 2015 Amazin’ Getaways Spring Training packages with four departures from New York scheduled for March 6, March 13, March 20, and March 27. All packages include hotel accommodations, rental car and game tickets.
