            Jeremy Affeldt -      3rd round – 1997 – Kansas City – Affeldt came to the Giants as a free agent after the 2008 season.

            Madison Bumgarner -      1st round (10th overall) – 2007 – San Francisco

            Santiago Casilla -   UDFA – 2000 – Oakland - At the end of 2009, he was granted free agency by the A's and signed a minor league contract with the San Francisco Giants[i]

            Tim Hudson -           6th round – 1997 – Oakland - On November 18, 2013, Hudson agreed to a two-year, $23 million contract with the San Francisco Giants[ii]

            Tim Lincecum -        1st round (10th overall) – 2006 – San Francisco

            Javier Lopez -           4th round – 1998 – Arizona - On July 31, 2010, López was traded to the San Francisco Giants for Joe Martinez and John Bowker[iii]

            Jean Machi -            UDFA – 2000 – Philadelphia – Machi was signed off of waivers in 2010-2011 off-season

            Jake Peavy -               15th round – 1999 – San Diego - On July 26, 2014, the Boston Red Sox traded Peavy to the San Francisco Giants along with cash considerations for pitching prospects Edwin Escobar and Heath Hembree[iv]

            Yusmeiro Petit -      UDFA – NY Mets - Petit signed a minor league contract with the San Francisco Giants for the 2012 season

            Hunter Strickland -              18th round – 2007 – Boston - On April 2, 2013, the San Francisco Giants claimed Strickland off waivers[v]

            Matt Duffy -   18th round – 2012 – San Francisco

            Joe Panik – 1st round (29th overall) – 2011 – San Francisco

            Pablo Sandoval -  UDFA – 2002 – San Francisco


Outfielders -

Gregor Blanco – UDFA – 2000 – Atlanta - Blanco signed a minor league contract with the San Francisco Giants on November 16, 2011, and was selected to be part of the Giants' 2012 Opening Day roster as an outfielder[vii]

Travis Ishikawa – UDFA – 2002 ($955K) – San Francisco

Michael Morse – 3rd round – 2000 – CWS - Morse signed a one-year, $6 million contract with the San Francisco Giants for the 2014 season[viii]

Hunter Pence – 2nd round – 2004 – Houston - On July 31, 2012, the Phillies sent Pence in a deadline deal to the San Francisco Giants. In return, the Phillies received Nate Schierholtz, Tommy Joseph, and Seth Rosin[ix]
