- Samurai Japan 6 - 4 MLB All-Stars
- RF Lucas Duda: 3 for 3, 2B, BB
Side Note: Poor Lucas looked so lost out in RF. A total of 6 balls were hit towards him and he only converted 1 of them into an out. The other 5? 3 singles, a double, and a triple. This series was fun to watch and while Japan did take the matchups 5 to 3, its worth noting that Japan threw the absolute best they had in the country out there. Meanwhile the US brought only 1 true OF (Dexter Fowler) and the best pitcher we brought over was Matt Shoemaker and Chris Capuano. Trust me folks, Japan is still no where near the talent level of the US although they have some nice arms in Kenta Maeda and Shohei Otani.

Very accurate notes written by Chris about the Japan series. It was fun to watch... if you were Japanese.
ReplyDeleteAnd the Mets plans for the corner outfielders are safe.
Duda may have figured, "Let me look even more inept than I already am in the OF so the Mets don't get any ideas of moving me back out there." Good to see the 3 hits, though.
ReplyDeleteCarillo and Monell putting up some decent offense when not wearing the tools of ignorance.
Mack I thought you were fluent in dozens of languages!
ReplyDeleteEnglish, Thai cursing, Brooklyn, and Pig Latin
ReplyDeleteAll Met fans at some point have learned some Pig Latin....for many years, one could say very assertively, Ets-May Ink-Stay.
ReplyDeleteLet's hope 2015 is Ets-May Amps-Chay.
