The White Sox added a veteran power bat to mix with their young sluggers Friday evening, agreeing to a two-year, $25-million contract with first baseman Adam LaRoche, sources have told MLB.com.

Good riddance!

ReplyDeleteUnless the Nationals plan to sign Yasmany Tomas and make him into a 1st baseman...
ReplyDeleteWith Laroche gone, maybe they can do a film called "Ike Goes to Washington" and sign Mr. Davis. We need the Nats to get someone whose WAR is -10.
ReplyDeleteI looked back at Laroche's #'s vs Mets. Ouch. In 480 official at bats, 29 doubles, 29 HRs and 87 RBIs. Very good to see him go, when you reflect on those #s. They tell a tale of inflicted pain.
