Texas
seems short an outfielder and Sardinas doesn’t project out as a good
replacement for Wilmer Flores, so I would target the 6-3 Barnes, a graduate from St.
John’s University.
Although Barnes is more ML-ready, his numbers are not impressive at all.
ReplyDeleteRoss looks more promising with what he's accomplished and has had a cup of coffee in the majors already.
The jewel here is Claudio whose numbers are pretty eye-popping. He's not been above AA, but you could start him in AAA and see how he does then push him to the majors if he succeeds.
My assumption regarding Cludio was that Texas would hold on to their top lefty
ReplyDeleteClaudio looks great - terrific control, and young. If Mets have to do Gee plus a prospect pitcher, I'd consider that.
