The Mets have announced that the organization has re-signed LHRP Scott Rice to a minor league contract with an invite to Spring Training camp. The club expects Rice to be fully recovered from season ending surgery to remove bone spurs from his elbow. After an extremely successful rookie campaign in 2013 as the team's primary "LOOGY" reliever, Rice took a huge step back in terms of control in 2014 posting a BB/9 rate of 7.9 per 9 innings.
