Reese Kaplan - Sometimes Patience Is A Virtue

As all of us sit around bemoaning the inertia with which Sandy Alderson has thus far approached this off-season, it got me to thinking about how he stacks up to the transactions made by other teams. Surprisingly, there are 11 teams that have not added a single major league caliber player and a few others whose acquisitions pale in comparison to the expensive but professional hitter the Mets snagged from Colorado. This list might help some of us slow down, take a deep breath, and get some perspective. Some good teams have done even less than the Mets.  Even the World Series winner has done bupkis.
