LAST GAME: The B-Mets left 10 men on-base in a 4-3 loss against New Hampshire Thursday night at NYSEG Stadium. Binghamton went 2-for-13 with men in scoring position, leaving a runner on in each of the final eight innings. Binghamton got the tying run on base in the ninth inning, before Jayce Boyd bounced into a game ending double play. Luis Cessa took the loss, allowing three earned runs in 6.1 innings. The Binghamton bullpen retired all eight batters faced. Boyd and Josh Rodriguez each had two hits. Brandon Nimmo extended his hitting streak to six games with a seventh inning single. Binghamton has lost four of their last five games.

BINGHAMTON STARTERRHP Michael Fulmer makes his third start of the season with Binghamton and second against New Hampshire. The righty is coming off his first win, allowing a run in five innings against Akron. Fulmer earned a no-decision against New Hampshire, surrendering three runs on six hits. Fulmer has walked two and struck out four in each start, lasting five innings both time. Lefties are 6-for-16 against Fulmer to begin the year. 

NEW HAMPSHIRE STARTER: RHP Joel Pineiro is making his 2015 debut. The righty spent 12 years in the big leagues, last pitching in 2011. The starter went 104-93 with two saves and a 4.41 ERA in 335 games, 263 starts. This is his fourth organization since 2011, after spending last season with Chicago and Los Angeles of Anaheim. Between the two teams and two levels (AA and AAA), Pineiro went a combined 1-3 with a 5.93 ERA in eight starts. The 36-year old spent two seasons (1999-2000) in the EL with the New Haven Ravens.

VS. NEW HAMPSHIRE: The season series has been one of streaks. New Hampshire won the first three and the last two, with Binghamton winning three consecutive games in between. In total, New Hampshire is 5-3 against the B-Mets to begin the year. Binghamton owns a 5.08 ERA in the eight games against New Hampshire. New Hampshire has six steals in 10 attempts against the B-Mets, compared to nine steals in 13 attempts in their other 26 games. Binghamton has committed eight errors in the eight games.

SE7EN: Aderlin Rodriguez is currently on a season-high seven-game hitting streak, batting .360 (9-for-25) with five RBI during the stretch. Rodriguez was two for his prior 17. A-Rod is batting .296 when hitting sixth or lower in the lineup.

3 IS A MAGIC NUMBERJosh Rodriguez’s current three-game hitting streak is tied for his longest this season,
despite batting .321, 13th best in the EL.

HIGH FIVE: Binghamton hasn’t scored more than five runs in any of their last 12 nine-inning games, going 7-5. The last time they scored more than five runs was in an 11-inning loss against New Hampshire, 12-11. Binghamton is hitting .247 in the month of May, second worse in the EL. The B-Mets hit .279 in April, only bested by New Hampshire (.285). Binghamton scored six or more runs in seven of their first 21 games.

RISP: The B-Mets are batting .151 (8-for-53) with men in scoring position over their last 47 innings. Binghamton has left 48 men on-base in those 47 frames. They’re averaging three runs a game over their last five, going 1-4 during that stretch. Binghamton hit .304 with men in scoring position over their first 29 games, going 18-11.

CANT GET NO RELIEF: Binghamton has scored two runs in their last 22 innings against relievers.
