  1. Sorry to go off topic of this post, but just saw some beat writers tweeting out that Eddie Coleman's sources are saying Wright should be expected back in 3 weeks, how much weight should actually be put in that?

  2. I don't know. Sounds like an early diagnosis.

If the rumor and source is correct, it will play out in the next 24-48 hours

  3. Ahahaha....if I didn't laugh I'd cry.

On the plus side, Harvey, Matz, deGrom, and now Wheeler are all TJS alums. Seems to be a right of passage.

  4. I was just looking at St. Lucie stats.
I notice Dom Smith is close to .250. It seems like just a week ago he was hitting about .120. He must be getting into a groove. Conforto is hanging at about .285. Not bad but that doesn't seem to support recent posts wanting the Mets to push him all the way to AAA.

  5. Hey Richard, lots of extra base hits for Conforto, so I'd promote him to AA ASAP and demote Gil Gomez. Dominic Smith is indeed on a tear. He went from mid .140's to mid- .240's's in a few weeks. Lots of doubles.

I don't think it is time to send him to AA. I would like to see him on a tear like he was during the 1st two or three weeks. If they did send him to AA I think he might be o.k.. My statement was about those saying he should skip AA and go to AAA asap.
I wanted the Mets to take Sean Newcombe when they picked Conforto so I've been keeping an eye on him. I think the Mets are going to regret that even if Conforto pans out. Newcombe is looking like a left handed Syndergaard.

    1. He was just named FSL player of the week for the 2nd time already.

It's time to challenge him at AA.

Who wanted him in Las Vegas?

  7. You might be right, Richard, on holding back Conforto. Sometimes the real good ones get promoted, rise to the challenge, and do even better. Harvey comes to mind. I just hope they're not afraid to challenge him. A strong OF bat may be needed in Queens before we know it.
