The Giants got off to a quick start again in the top of the first off Met starter Jonathon Niese.  Nori Aoki and Joe Panik reached on singles. Lucas Duda hit a sac-fly to score Niese and then Michael Cuddyer doubled to right center scoring Granderson from 1st to give the Mets the lead. It didn’t last. In the top of the 6th Maxwell reached on an error by Eric Campbell at third. That set the stage for Brandon Crawford who homered, his 9th on the year to give the Giants the 4-3 lead. But the Mets fought back. Darrell Ceciliani led off the 7th with a pinch double down the left field line. Granderson then singled him home and it was all tied at 4.  In the bottom of the 9th Sergio Romo hit Granderson with a pitch. Granderson went to 2nd on a passed ball and went to third when Juan Lagares grounded out to 2nd. That set the stage for Cuddyer who singled to give the Mets the win. Niese  pitched well  going  7 allowing just 5 hits 4 runs (2 earned) walking 2 and striking out 4.  He did pitch well retiring 16 of his last 18.  Erik Goeddel and Jeurys Familia each pitched a scoreless inning in relief.
