June 15th 2015 -- Mets 4, Blue Jays 3 (11 innings)

Monday night at Citi Field Wilmer Flores’ RBI single in the bottom of the 11^th inning snapped a 3 all tie. The Mets come from behind and beat the Blue Jays 4-3 in 11 innings.   Noah Syndergaard started for the Mets and gave up a long home run to Jose Bautista in the top of the 1^st (his 12^th) and that was all he allowed.  Mark Buehrle held the Mets scoreless till the 6^th when Kevin Plawecki reached on a throwing error by Jose Reyes. Syndergaard sacrificed Plawecki to 2^nd. Juan Lagares then doubled home Plawecki to tie the game at 1. Ruben Tejada then doubled to score Lagares and the Mets lead 2-1. Syndergaard went 6 allowing just 2 hits the 1 run (earned) walking 1 and striking out 11. Carlos Torres, Jack Leathersich pitched into the 8^th for the Mets.  Jeurys Familia pitched the final out of the 8h, in the 9^th his first pitch was taken over the left field wall by Bautista, his 13^th on the year and his 2^nd homer on the game and the game was tied at 2. In the top of the 11th the Blue Jays took a 3-2 lead when Dioner Navarro’s sac-fly scored Ezequiel Carrera with the go ahead run. In the bottom of the 11^th the Mets scored twice to win it.  Lucas Duda’s RBI single scored Michael Cuddyer to tie the game at 3. Duda advanced to 2^nd on the throw. Flores then came up and singled to center scoring Duda with the game winner.  Hansel Robles gets the win in relief he’s now 1-1. Brett Cecil takes the loss he’s now 1-3. The win snaps the Blue Jays 11 game winning streak and the Mets are now 10-0 lifetime against the Blue Jays in Flushing. With the win the Mets improve to 35-30 on the season and 25-11 at Citi Field in 2015. The Nat’s lost on Monday night so the Mets now find themselves with a  1 ½ game lead in first place in the NL east.  Tuesday night is Harvey day. Matt Harvey (6-4 3.62) goes for the Mets, Scott Copeland (1-0 0.90) goes for Toronto.
