Las Vegas send Luis Cessa to the hill vs. Fresno, both teams coming in with 55-40 records. Cessa gave up 7 runs in under 4 innings.  AAA ain't no picnic for the pitchers.

Tyler Pill excelled, with 3 scoreless innings of relief in his first outing in 3 weeks, dopping his ERA from 7.14 to 6.86, but Vic Black gave up 2 hits and a run in his lone inning, ERA of 11.81 for Vic.  Jack Leathersich, whose last game, like Pill's, was June 29, is still listed on the 7 day DL.  Some 7 days.  Where can we send the get well card, Jack?

Steady Brandon Allen (.290) hit his 10th homer and drove in both runs (48 RBIs).  A line up without Castellanos, Reynolds, Muno, Monell and Ceciliani mustered 3 hits.

Binghamton's Seth Lugo started vs. New Britain and tossed a goodie? 7 IP, 4 H, 8 K, 1 R.  Lugo improved to 5-4, 3.45. Doubles by Mazzilli, Conforton, Peterson and Nimmo helped them squeak out a 1 run win.

St Lucie's superlative Casey Meisner had one weak inning in which he allowed 2 runs. Zero walks, 8 Ks in 5 IP, but a loss on a night the Lucies got shut out on 4 hits.

Savannah swept a doubleheader. In game 1, nice pitching and a 4 run 7th led to a 4-1 win.  Christian Montgomery had a sweet So. Atlantic League debut, with a scoreless, 2 K inning. He now has 10.2 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 20 K.

Second game starter Martirez Arias (4-4, 2.89) threw 5 innings without an earned run in the nitecap.  Becerra and Eudor Garcia each had 3 hits in the low scoring doubleheader, and Wuilmer and Luis Guillorme lead the team at .298.

Brooklyn came into Monday's game still sporting a league best ERA at 2.28. It rose a little bit, but Brandon Brosher hit a dramatic 8th inning 3 run homer to tie when the Cyclones were trailing 4-1.  Jeff Diehl's game winning sac fly in the 9th did the deal.

Vince (hit machine) Siena has 3 more hits today (.352).  He has 38 hits and 12 walks in 28 games!

Corey Taylor pitched a scoreless 9th for his first win in his 9th (all scoreless) outing of 2015. Andrew Church went 5 and allowed 2 runs.

Kingsport's Harol (without a D) Gonzalez did not get to pitch due to inclement weather.  He called Rainy Lara immediately.

GCL Mets won in a game where Rafael Montero pitched very well; in 3 IP, he allowed 3 hits, no runs or walks, and struck out 4. Mets fans should be thrilled.

Ali Sanchez continues to amaze: single, 2B, and BB (.373).

DSL METS 1 and  DSL METS 2:  twin wins. Nice.

 GOAT: Luis Cessa
