FLASH: SS Gavin Cecchini and 1B Dominic Smith Injured during Winter Leagues


     Per Adam Rubin of ESPN New York, assistant GM John Ricco explained that SS Gavin Cecchini was removed from the Team USA roster due to a shoulder injury that he sustained during workouts before the exhibition games against Team Canada. Ricco did not elaborate on the severity of the injury.

    In addition 1B Dominic Smith will likely sit out the remainder of the Arizona Fall League season due to a strained oblique.
