    This doesn't mean the end of Yo and the Mets.

    I want him to stay, but there are many pluses if he leaves, too.

    If he turns down a QO, we're free of the $50m obligation thru 2018. We break the log jam in the OF and can play Conforto in LF with Bruce in RF and Lag/Grandy/Nimmo in CF.

    Then next Winter we're out of the contracts of Grandy and Bruce. Plus, we get an extra draft pick this June.

    Reportedly, the Pirates are looking to dump McCutchen's salary, and we can target him because of the $$ saved.

    Looks like a win/win to me.
