The devil you do know is better than the devil you don't. He's done fine in a Mets uniform when given a chance. Others like Frank Francisco and Antonio Bastardo do not. I could see them more willingly part with decent money for two years on Blevins than I could see them parting with more on others with longer track records or slightly less on others who have not yet pitched in New York. The only exception might be Boone Logan who pitched for the Yankees and through the adversity of the major's worst ballpark for pitchers.

ReplyDeleteGood enough for me - if he signs, it is why I said yesterday, let's see what roster goes north for Opening Day
ReplyDeleteLogan and Blevins have the same agent.
ReplyDeleteHis agent should be happy if we'd sign Blevins. 29 teams can sign Verrett.
