ABOUT LAST GAME: Columbia won its third straight game with a win over the Delmarva Shorebirds on Thursday, 7-4. Merandy Gonzalez earned his fifth win of the season on the mound (five innings and seven strikeouts). Adonis Uceta pitched 2.1 scoreless frames and recorded his team-leading third save of the season.

RAIN, RAIN, GO AWAYSaturday’s game against the BlueClaws was postponed due to heavy rain. These clubs will play a twin-bill on Mondayat 5:05 p.m. In addition, Friday’s scheduled doubleheader against the Shorebirds was cancelled due to rain. It’s been 60 plus hours (just over two days) since the Fireflies last took the field Thursday night.

WE’RE ON TO LAKEWOOD: Columbia made the 196 mile trek from Perdue Stadium in Salisbury to Lakewood, New Jersey. This is the furthest north Columbia has played a game.

MR. DASH: Dash Winningham has recently turned things around at the plate. He leads the Fireflies with 22 RBIs. The 21-year-old also holds a .471 batting average (8-for-17) when there’s two outs and runners are in scoring position.

· May 8 - May 11 (three games): 6 hits, 2 HR, 8 RBI
· April 30 - May 7 (five games): 1-for-19 at the plate

BOTTOM-FEEDERS: Columbia’s last two batters in its order were part of the formula for success on ThursdayAli Sanchez and Milton Ramos combined for five of the team’s 10 hits and four of the seven runs scored.

EMEMY TERRITORY: The Fireflies have a .252 batting average on the road compared to just .220 at home.
