  1. GREAT!

It cannot be worse than the Six Duds the Mets have used in hopes of plugging gaps on the cheap....Smoker, Wilk, Montero, Milone, Gilmartin, and Ramirez have given up 65 runs in 58 innings. Cheap sometimes work. this team? Abysmal with the marginal,

  3. 5/26:The Mets have given the call to right-hander Tyler Pill from Triple-A Las Vegas, but this isn’t news to get all that excited over. Pill has a shiny 1.96 ERA and 1.17 WHIP in 46 innings pitched this season, but doesn’t own skills that will likely translate well to the Major Leagues. In those 46 innings pitched, he has only 23 strikeouts and averages about 87 – 89 MPH on his fastball. He’s 27-years old, and has amassed a 4.01 ERA and 1.30 WHIP during his seven-year minor league career. It’s also unclear what his role in Queens will be, though one would think he could take the rotation spot of the injured (and ineffective) Tommy Milone, or the inept Rafael Montero. Pill is not worth any fantasy consideration whatsoever.--Andrew Bua - RotoBaller

  4. As long as the Braves "eat" part of the hefty ones contract, why not. We could use his pied piper factor.

  5. Montero to Braves, Colon to Mets.

Do it you worthless Genius you.

  6. In response to the thoughts of Andrew Bua, I'd think the same way about Pill if not for his impressive start in 2017 - he must have figured out something to drastically increase his effectiveness. How else to explain 92 runs in 115 AAA prior to 2017, and just 10 earned runs in 46 IP this year?

If they start him, let him lead off too :)

And he brings his record of zero errors in 611 career minor league innings with him.

  7. Remember when I said that when all else goes right, the Imbecile in the dugout finds a way to blow the game?

Last 2 games were exhibit A and B.

First he takes out Gsellman after 80+ pitches, then brings in the fire starters to pitch. Last night they don't pitch deGrom who would have dominated that lineup in order to start the Great Montero which would then cause the Imbecile to once again, blow the good relievers for a couple of days.

Isn't a win over the Padres just as valuable as one over the Pirates? win the series you idiot, that's what counts.

You can't make this manure up unless you're the Mets because experience counts.

  8. Viper, the last 2 losses were pretty vital. And avoidable.

  10. First inning for St Lucie, Cespedes walked, Mazeika doubled him in. Alonzo Mourning is over, as Pete is playing tonight.

  11. Have been using Viper as an id for over 20 years on the Mets fan board.
Its better than having a bunch of different ids.
