Tacoma 5 - Las Vegas 2

The Rainiers defeated the 51s, 5-2 in 11 innings, in game two of the four-game series before a sellout crowd of 10,342 (which included 8,000 5^th grade students from the Clark County School District) for the Smokers Strike Out 14^th Annual School Day Game at Cashman Field.

Tacoma, trailing 2-1 in the ninth inning, tied the game on a two-out homer by first baseman D.J. Peterson (2-for-5, two runs scored). The Rainiers then scored three runs in the 11^th inning for the victory. Left fielder Dario Pazzano (2-for-4, walk, two doubles) broke the 2-2 tie with an RBI double.

Las Vegas broke the 1-1 tie in the sixth inning on a solo homer by designated hitter Jayce Boyd (2-for-5).

51s right-hander Ricky Knapp pitched a season-high 7.2 innings in the no decision. He allowed 5 hits, 1 run, walked 2 and struck out 2 on 95 pitches (61 strikes).

Las Vegas, 3-4 on the nine-game homestand, will host Tacoma on Thursday at 7:05 p.m. on Budweiser Dollar Beer Night.
