    I think he has one more year until he can apply for reinstatement no Thomas ? I think the union will lobby for it .. it’s a real test case to see if this policy has teeth

    I think the two yr minimum (for application for reinstatement) is completed Feb 2018. I believe HE still believes he was not taking. There is something fishy about the episode.

      This is correct.....Mejia is eligible for reinstatement for the 2018 season.

    Mejia is still the property of the Mets and would resume his ARB status if he was to be activated.

      Considering he's making less than $2.0M and is still under cost control.....

      No way the Mets sever ties with him if he can still prove to be an effective bullpen arm.

    Going against popular sentiment I hope he gets reinstated and succeeds. It's hard to put ourselves in his and a lot if players from the DR shoes. I remember reading a story about him being a shoe shine boy and playing baseball to make money and help his family.

    Even if reinstated, Mejia will have to prove he can pitch effectively again.
