ReplyDeleteThis will be a test of the new training regimen, which stresses elasticity over strength in the legs. If it works as intended, he'll play a full, healthy season. If not, well, let's start worrying again. Keep the fingers crossed. 😉
ReplyDeleteSo, is Yo the new Straw? You know, as Strawberry went, so did the Mets offense.......
ReplyDeleteIt strikes me that Yo's conditioning issues had less to do with regimes and more to do with his unwillingness to take workout recommendations. I'm hoping that he learned some tough lessons last season. Ditto for Syndergaard. Bot of these head strong guys were clearly too enamored with strength and bulk. I am optimistic that both will be healthy and dominant in 2018. I'm not sure about many of their teammates...
ReplyDeleteThe Mets were very complicit...they knew he was still hurt in April, played him vs. Nats, and he hurt it much worse. A few more day's rest and he might have been fine.
