A few thoughts here.
ReplyDelete1. I think Nido right now is a prospect, but I am not sure he has warranted being 3rd in the organization. He needs to return to hitting like he did two years ago to get this high.
2. I do not remember Dibreli being ranked this high in any of the prospect lists.
3. Where is Jordan Humphrey?
4. Ditto Corey Oswalt
Agree 100% on Nido, Mack. Let's see him hit this year first.
ReplyDeleteAnd how about Ronny Mauricio at #4, who has yet to play as a teenager, being higher than Mark Vientos (#6), a teen who has played a season, and very well.
And Luis G at # 9, and Cecchini at # 17? Not good for the latter.
Mack, what is "FV"? Peterson is only one at 50 - I wonder what the MLB top-ranked prospect is at - 60?
ReplyDeleteIt is a stock trading (12:54pm) at 28.09, down 0.65 (2.2%)
ReplyDeleteIn baseball terms, it stands for 'future value'.
This list was made in a tree.
ReplyDeleteMichael Conforto's batting average has dipped quicker (.500 -.200 BA) than Rumpal's boobie line. Good one!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure, but maybe Tomas Nido is facing in the wrong direction at the plate?
ReplyDeleteMack Ade:
ReplyDeleteCorey not that impressive last night, you I am sure concur. But it's early yet.
Mets pitching staff showing new holes. Wheeler, Matz, and Harvey cannot all fit in the same one bullpen! The bigger issue is that there are almost no Mets AAA starters to call up. They are going to have to make eggroll of this somehow. Plus, we still have no left-handed set-up man with a power pitch.
Good news: PJ Conlon did win last night at Vegas. Zach Borenstein is still smashing the baseball and hitting over a .300 BA. At AA bingponies, Tim Tebow is hitting .255 BA now and showing sincere signs of getting it.
Mack, am I totally stupid (or what) in wanting Bartolo Colon back? This pitching staff was so much better when our Mets Bartolo was here! Coincidence? Hmm, I sometimes wonder. Big Bart always kept the pitching staff loose. Why not?
I'm starting tonight. Please everyone wish me well!
