The Grizzlies defeated the Reyes de Plata, 11-4, in the opener of the four-game series and the seven-game homestand before a crowd of 2,823 at Cashman Field.
Fresno scored eight runs in the first inning and third baseman J.D. Davis was 3-for-5, solo homer; center fielder Tony Kemp was 3-for-4, walk, 2 RBI, two runs scored and left fielder Drew Ferguson was 2-for-5, triple, HR, 4 RBI.
Grizzlies right-hander Trent Thornton recorded the victory. He pitched 5.1 innings and allowed 2 hits, 3 runs, walked 4 and struck out 3.
51s right fielder Bryce Brentz was 1-for-3, two walks, two-run double.
Game two of the series is Wednesday at 7:05 p.m.
I guess the lock-down pitchers in Vegas have been locked up again this season. They are giving up tons of runs.

ReplyDeleteReese, Brentz is used to playing in ten degree wind chill night games on the East coast, give him time to adapt to normal weather.
