EARLY EXPLOSION LEADS TO WIN: Binghamton scored six runs in the first inning of Monday’s series-opener, en route to an 8-5 victory against New Hampshire. The Rumble Ponies batted around in the first frame, collecting five hits - including two home runs.

BINGHAMTON STARTER: RHP Andrew Church makes his fourth start of the 2018 season and second straight against New Hampshire. Despite lasting seven innings, Church was hit the loss in a 5-2 contest at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium. Church’s seven-inning effort is the longest for any Rumble Ponies starter this season.

BACK TO BACK: In the six-run first inning, Patrick Mazeika and Matt Oberste launched home runs on consecutive pitches against Francisco Rios. It was the first time Binghamton utilized back-to-back jacks since August 30, 2017 when Kevin Kaczmarski and Peter Alonso did it.

PUT IT IN THE BOOKS: The Binghamton bats set season-bests in runs (8) and hits (11) in Monday’s win. In addition, they collected eight extra base hits (3 HR, 1 3B, 4 2B) and 26 total bases, both team-highs.

PAT’S BAT: Patrick Mazeika finished 2-for-5 with a HR and 3 RBI on Monday night, extending his hitting streak to five games. He’s tied with Peter Alonso and Tim Tebow for the longest Rumble Ponies hitting streak of the season.

SHOW ME SOME GLOVE: Binghamton has committed an error in six straight games, making 11 during that stretch. The 2017 Binghamton Rumble Ponies, who finished first in Eastern League fielding percentage and errors committed, never had an error streak longer than five games.

YOU AGAIN?: On April 19 in Manchester, the Rumble Ponies and Fisher Cats dueled with Andrew Church opposing Jordan Romano. Both pitchers tossed seven innings, Romano gave up just one run to Church’s three, leading New Hampshire to a 5-2 victory.

SHARING IS CARING: All nine Rumble Ponies in Monday’s starting lineup reached base safely. OF John Mora, who walked and scored a run, was the only starter without a hit.

BASHLOR PADS STATS: RHP Tyler Bashlor picked up his third save of the season in as many tries on Monday night, extending his Double-A scoreless streak. He’s tossed 22.1 innings of shutout baseball, spanning across 17 Eastern League appearances.

UP NEXT: The Rumble Ponies finish up their three-game series and six-game homestand on Wednesday night against the Fisher Cats. RHP Nabil Crismatt gets the ball for Binghamton against New Hampshire RHP Nick Tepesch. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 PM at NYSEG Stadium.
