Yeah, let's start the rebuild and trade Snydergaard and get back a huge amount of prospects like when we traded Tom Seaver. Oh wait, never mind. I guess that doesn't always work. How many years has Cincinnati been rebuilding?
Mack is right, you really can't rebuild without blowing up the roster. Sandy did a really good job last year of trading players to get some return. But, lets face it, Gonzales, Bruce, Vargas, or any of that level player is not going to bring back much. One area that needs improvement is the draft picks the Mets are taking. Nimmo was a great selection as was Conforto. We just need more.
If you going to rebuild, you have to trade both deGrom and Syndergaard. What's the point of having them for their best years with a lousy team that has no chance of winning?
Thomas, What is wrong is that Callaway has tired the BP already because he goes to the same pitchers all the time. Blevins and Ramos have been useless and he should know that bringing in Jeuris Benitez on a one run game is like playing Russian Roulette. Sometimes click and sometimes boom.
Why is Conforto playing CF over Nimmo for example? Why is Reyes starting anything? Why is he playing over anybody else in the roster?
This is borderline ridiculous........I think it is time to start the rebuild!
ReplyDeleteCut the crappy vets and bring up the kids to see what we have.
Everytime you think this team reach the bottom, it gets redefined.
ReplyDeleteSomewhere in a dark office, Terry Collins is giggling while holding a picture of his man crush Ruben Tejada.
Rosanne is available...

ReplyDeleteI think we should hold onto Thor (as well as Jake, Conforto, Nimmo, Rosario, etc), but clear out the dead wood and start over.
ReplyDeleteRebuild, not demolish the entire roster and start from scratch.
But that includes realizing that we are not a good ball club as constructed and the roster is in need of some changes.

ReplyDeleteYou can not rebuild the pipeline unless you trade off some of your red meat.
And do not expect Sandy and Co.crack draft team to pick any better than they have in the past

ReplyDeleteAlderson did a good job with last year's trades????

ReplyDeleteAnd it better not be Sandy making those trades.
My last mock will post up on Sunday morning.

I just can't put my finger on what's wrong.
ReplyDeleteUhuh, I'm at a loss.
