Press Release:
The 51s defeated the Rainiers, 10-2, in game four of the five-game series before a “Memorial Day” night crowd of 2,783 at Cashman Field.
Las Vegas left-hander Blake Taylor recorded the victory in his Triple-A debut with 6 solid innings. He allowed 3 hits, 1 unearned, walked 4 and struck out 6 on 94 pitches (49 strikes).
The 51s built a 7-0 lead after three innings and right fielder Matt den Dekker was 3-for-4, walk, two-run homer in the 7th inning, two runs scored; center fielder Kevin Kaczmarski was 2-for-2, two walks and three runs scored and catcher Jose Lobaton (1-for-4) hit a three-run homer in the 3rd inning.
What a pleasant surprise from Blake Taylor and Joe Zanghi. That had to be Blake's best start ever!
ReplyDeleteBoth got promoted from A ball straight to AAA. Let them stay.

ReplyDeleteMy hope is he gets right back on the horse.
I have him as a 'blue level' prospect who could get a call up after the all-star break
Very weird, just decided to pop out an article with Kacz as the lead picture, and then I see you guys discussing him. Great minds...
