Las Vegas 9 - Albuquerque 7


The 51s defeated the Isotopes, 9-7, in game two of the four-game series (game six of the eight-game homestand, 3-3 record) before a Mother’s Day crowd of 2,349 at Cashman Field

Las Vegas right-hander Drew Gagnon pitched a season-high 7 innings in the no decision. He allowed 8 hits, 4 runs, issued no walks and struck out 3 on 85 pitches (59 strikes).

Las Vegas built a 4-2 lead after five innings; Albuquerque then tied the game at 4-4; 51s then scored three runs in the 7th inning to break the 4-4 tie and lead 7-4; Albuquerque then scored three runs in the 8th to tie the game at 7-7.

First baseman Johnny Monell (1-for-4) hit a solo home run in the 8th inning to give the 51s an 8-7 lead.

Third baseman Cody Asche was 3-for-4, double, HR, 2 RBI and center fielder Matt den Dekker was 3-for-4, walk, stolen base, 2 RBI, two runs scored.
