The River Cats defeated the 51s, 5-3, in the finale of the brief four-game homestand to split the series before a Budweiser Dollar Beer Night crowd of 5,001 at Cashman Field.
Sacramento second baseman Chase d’Arnaud was 3-for-4, double, RBI, run scored and first baseman Austin Slater was 2-for-4, walk, RBI.
Las Vegas right-hander Chris Flexen suffered the loss despite a solid outing. He tied his season-high with 6 innings pitched and allowed 7 hits, 3 runs, issued no walks and struck out 5 on 95 pitches (61 strikes).
Shortstop Luis Guillorme was 2-for-3, walk, double and second baseman Ty Kelly was 1-for-3, 2 RBI.
The 51s will embark on a brief four-game road trip beginning tomorrow evening in Salt Lake City, Utah against the Bees, Triple-A affiliate of the L.A. Angels.
