For the week of July 9-15, Carpio’s slash line was .481/.481/.667. In seven games he went 13 for 27 with two doubles, one home run, three RBI, three runs scored and one stolen base.

On Sunday, Carpio went 3 for 4 with a leadoff home run in a 3-2 win over Palm Beach. Last Tuesday he went 4 for 5 in a 5-1 victory over the Charlotte Stone Crabs.

Carpio collected four multi-hit games during the week. He raised his batting average 29 points.

Carpio, 21, was signed by New York as an international free agent in 2013. He is ranked as the No. 17 prospect in the Mets’ system according to MLB Pipeline.

Carpio is the second Met to receive a weekly FSL award this season. Josh Prevost was named the FSL Pitcher of the Week on June 11.

  1. He's had a tough season offensively, so it is good to break out. Hopefully it will continue.
