JUPITER, Fla. (July 20, 2018) – The St. Lucie Mets snapped a four-game losing streak by beating the Palm Beach Cardinals 6-1 at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium on Friday.

Gabriel Llanes made one of the best starts of the year. The right-hander shut out the Cardinals over seven innings. He scattered six singles, did not walk a batter and struck out seven. He threw 99 pitches and got his fourth win.

Blake Tiberi, playing in his second game with St. Lucie after being promoted from Columbia, went 2 for 4 with a triple, double, two RBI and two runs scored. His RBI triple in the fourth put the Mets on the board. He was then driven in by a Wuilmer Becerra double that put the Mets ahead 2-0.
