Good morning.
Thieves
Leave High School Baseball Team High
& Dry –
A local high school called for the public’s help after their
baseball team’s trailer was stolen
Saturday morning. Denver School of Science and Technology (DSST) Head
Coach Bob Beatty told CBS4 the trailer was parked in the school’s parking lot
when thieves took it.
Mack – Always remember… low life scum bag
robbers will find a value in anything you own. Everything is sellable for
crack. Lock everything down and put up the cameras.
Buster Olney - @Buster_ESPN
As has been reported,
the D-Backs will listen to offers on their best players, including Paul Goldschmidt. Most contenders are locked in at 1B
for 2019; the Cubs have Rizzo, for example. Total speculation: One team that
could be a great fit for a Goldschmidt deal -- the Yankees.
Mack – A lot of readers here have touted
Goldschmidt over the years. He did his 33 home runs last season while hitting
.290. What’s the downside? Well, he will play next year at 31 and is only under
contract for the 2019 season, at $14.5mil. He also had the lowest RBIs (83) in
four years.
Lastly, we have both Peter Alonso and Dominic Smith in the wings.
Are we still interested here?
American Airlines enters burger contest, but loses to fellow
underdog the New York Mets –
The airline went up against more than 30 local restaurants,
venues and food companies at the New York City Wine & Food Festival on
Friday night at a pier on Manhattan's West Side, an event American sponsored
but never participated in before this year.
Mack – Isn’t this special. We need a new
General Manager. We got a new hamburger. Same same.
Sam LeBOOwitz - @LeboMyEggo
The Mets should seriously consider
signing Marwin Gonzalez this offseason. Idk
where he'd play but I want him on my team
Mack – So, he plays the inside infield, played last year
at 29 years old, hit 16 home runs, but batted only .247.
Don’t we already have a bunch of these guys?
Lastly…
the search to find a new General Manager for the New York Mets continues.
People are starting to realize why free agents don’t want to come here. General
Manager don’t so why should their ex-players?
Have you ever watched ‘Bar Rescue’ on cable?
Check out a few of them and when the dysfunctional a-hole owner is featured in
the beginning of the show, with his beaten down under-talented staff, working
in a club/restaurant that is basically empty because past customers have vowed
not to return to eat there.
Now… think Mets.
Great analogy Mack..I.e. bar rescue...hope springs eternal that the wilpons sell
ReplyDeleteMack not that the Mets will make a serious run fir him but what do you make from Machado’s actions during last night game
ReplyDeleteMachado has always been a dirty player and I dont like those kind of players in my lineup no matter how much talent they have
ReplyDeleteMachado didn't try to hurt anyone on the slide....or did I miss something?
ReplyDeleteI'd take Machado any day and twice on Sunday before I'd talk to Bryce Harper. One wants to win. The other is simply an asshole.
ReplyDeleteI dunno Reese - Machado seems to have a lot of Bobby Bonilla in him
DeleteBob
ReplyDeleteGo back and try to catch the video of him stepping on the Brewers 1Bman the other night
Hmmm...
DeleteStill,Realmuto and him would make a really strong team for years.
After the last 10 years, I think I could make it work
give me machado on this team any day, don't care if you play dirty. He plays hard when he has to and is an absolute stud.
ReplyDeleteRight now, I want young Peter over older Goldschmidt. Not that Paul is that old. I just think Pete will be, well, the next Goldschmidt.
ReplyDeletePete's walk forced in Gimenez with the winning run in the 11th last night.
Since when do airlines "serve hamburger at airports"? And the Mets have "their" burger? Is it Keith's or Shake Shack? 😋
