Oct. 2, 2018 – Following two historic tiebreaker games to complete Major League Baseball’s 2018 regular season, MLB Network today announced the matchups and start times for its two exclusive game telecasts of the National League Division Series presented by Doosan, marking the seventh consecutive year that MLB Network will exclusively televise two Division Series games.

Featuring game calls by Hall of Fame award-winning broadcaster Bob Costas, MLB Network will exclusively televise Game 1 of the NLDS featuring theAtlanta Braves at Los Angeles Dodgers this Thursday, Oct. 4 at 8:30 p.m. ET, live from Dodger Stadium, followed by Game 3 of the NLDS betweenMilwaukee Brewers and the winner of the NL Wild Card – the Chicago Cubs or Colorado Rockies – on Sunday, Oct. 7 at 4:30 p.m. ET, live from Wrigley Field or Coors Field. Both games will be available nationwide and in each club’s home TV territory exclusively on MLB Network. MLB Network’s two game telecasts will be presented by Geico.

To make its NLDS game telecasts available to even more viewers, MLB Network has partnered with several of its distributors to expand their existing carriage of MLB Network by providing a free preview from Oct. 3-10 to video customers of AT&T U-verse, Comcast (XFINITY), Cox, DIRECTV, DIRECTV NOW, DISH, Frontier, Verizon Fios and many others, bringing MLB Network’s distribution for that period to approximately 90 million homes. MLB Network’s Postseason games are also available anywhere in the United States via an authenticated live stream to customers of participating pay TV providers through the MLB At Bat app, MLBNetwork.com/Watch and MLB.TV.

In each telecast, MLB Network will provide continuous game coverage during pitching changes and select mound visits by using a split-screen format in commercial breaks, as it has done for the past two seasons on MLB Network Showcase. MLB Network also will incorporate advanced statistics and tracking technology via Statcast AI powered by AWS. MLB Network’s NLDS game telecasts will also feature enhanced audio at home plate, plus Phantom and Slo-Mo camera technology to provide dramatically increased resolution and clarity to replays.

Fourteen-year MLB veteran and seven-time former All-Star Michael Young will serve as a guest analyst on MLB Tonight presented by Evan Williams Bourbon on Oct. 8 and 9. MLB Network will air more than 175 hours of live coverage throughout the 2018 Postseason, including interviews, game previews, highlights and in-depth analysis across all studio programming. MLB Tonight will air before and after every Postseason game with reporters including Scott Braun, Fran Charles, Robert Flores, Jon Paul Morosi, Kelly Nash, Stephen Nelson, Tom Verducci, Heidi Watney and Matt Yallof on-site at each ballpark. The brand new single “Pressure” from the multi-Grammy Award-winning band Muse, will be featured in all studio programming on MLB Network throughout the 2018 MLB Postseason. The song will be on Muse’s new album, Simulation Theory coming out on November 9th.
