  1. Injuries.

Sometimes injuries to players this early on can be a good thing in providing an opportunity to other players.

i.e. Pete Alonso and Dominic Smith. Both right now should be on the 25 man roster heading north. This is a good thing.

  3. Sixth Starter, First Base, and Outfield

    First, the sixth starter.

Many here like Seth Lugo, others Robert Gsellman. I like Drew Smith for because his stuff (to me) is the best of the three and both Lugo and Gsellman I really do like relieving were both have seen good success.

    First Base.

To me the competition is over already. Pete Alonso starts because he has incredible power potential and already has big league batting skills. He really does remind me so much of David Wright batting and also with his enthusiasm for the game. Dominic Smith came to camp with a more serious work attitude, obviously worked out during the winter, and has been on fire too batting. He's really into the games now and it's great to see. Dominic Smith easily could also start some games in left field, especially if Jeff McNeil is starting on third with the injury situations of current.
