-Both
IF/OF Jeff McNeil (hamstring strain) and 2B Robinson Cano (quad strain) placed on 7/day-IL
-AAA-Syracuse IF Luis
Guillorme to Mets to replace Cano.
My only hope here is that Luis
gets some quality time in the field. In parts of two seasons, he has only 85
at-bats while hitting only .200. You can’t prove anything to anyone, especially
yourself, playing in 46 games over two years and averaging less than two
at-bats per game. Let the kid play.
RP Ryan O’Rourke up
to replace McNeil.
Has pitched one inning this year for the
Mets (0.00) and 20-IP for Cuse (3.10). Could do worse.
Kudos –
AAA-Syracuse 2B, Ruben Tejada, wasted little time impressing Mets suits
in his first AAA game this year: 2-4, 2-R, .500
I don’t know if there is anymore
gas left inside him, but I’m happy that he’s home where he started.
-AAA-Syracuse
LF (yes… LF), Dilson Herrera: 2-3, 8th
HR, 2-RBI
Tejada and Herrera in the same lineup…
this was supposed to be our dream middle infielders.

-A+ St. Lucie SP, Dedniel Nunez, once more pitched impressively: 6-IP,
0-R, 6-K, 1-BB (1.80). So far this season, between A-Columbia or the Cuse,
Dedniel has 53-K in 42-IP, with a combined 0.76-WHIP. Prospect numbers
-A-Columbia 3B, Mark Vientos: 1-3, but has now hit safely in his last
11 games.
We need McNeil back, Conforto back, and Nimmo (or Kemp) pronto.
ReplyDeleteRobby Cano - don't rush it back. Quads are tricky.
Lots of movement throughout the organization.
I am afraid we could have lost Nimmo for up to the season's end
ReplyDelete???? What do you mean, Mack?
ReplyDeleteThis was not a sore neck.
ReplyDeleteHe has a severa bulging disc that could mean surgery at worse or lenthy rehab at best
