- Former Parkside ace Hunter Parsons has been selected in the 19th Round of the
MLB Draft by the New York Mets.
Parsons,
who just finished his senior season with the University of Maryland, was taken
by the Mets with the 568th pick.
The
right-hander was named the Bayside Conference Pitcher of the Year his senior
season and was previously drafted by the Cleveland Indians prior to enrolling
at Maryland. He threw a no-hitter for the Rams in an April 2015 victory over
JMB.
