draft, taken 1,198th overall by the New York Mets.
Lovrich,
a Jacksonville State signee, was drafted as a pitcher.
The
right-hander racked up 75 strikeouts in 55 2/3 innings this season, giving up
49 hits with 20 walks. He was 6-2 with a 1.51 ERA.
Lovrich
was primarily an outfielder. With a bat, he posted a .457 on-base percentage
with 39 runs scored and 18 RBIs in 36 games. He was 22-for-27 on steals.

Like I wrote recently in a response to another article, the draft stuff you were posting on this website some years back is what attracted me to the site and becoming a reader, and eventually, a writer.

I can wait to see your thought on the draft overall... who you like? what you though of the strategy used on this draft...( i dont believe this was the strategy but when the opportunity presented itself with Allen I think they broke script)
Who are the late rounders we probably wont sign but were insurance in case Allen doesn't sign?
