AAA-Syracuse
OF Tim Tebow has been shut down for the remainder of the baseball season, due
to (what they say) complications from an earlier finger laceration that hasn’t
healed properly.
I
say this strangely coincides the college football season start where he makes
millions doing announcing.
AAA-Syracuse
SP, Harol Gonzalez, was placed on the IL.
Kudos –
AAA-Syracuse
– RP Matt Blackham: 2-IP, 0-R, K, 1.08
Next up?
AA-Binghamton
– RF Quinn Brodey: 2-4, R, 4th
HR, 3-RBI
A+ St. Lucie – SP Tylor Magill:
5-IP,0-ER, 8-K
A-Columbia
– SP Bryce Hutchinson: 5-IP, R, 3-K, 3.57
Hutch
seems to have settled into the starter role after being the back end of a piggy
for SWR for most of the season.
Low-A
Brooklyn – RP Matt Mullenbach: 1-IP, 0-R, K, 1.50
Here’s
a hint. If I am featuring a reliever with the minimal amount of innings
pitched, it probably means the team lost with a minimal amount of offense.
Rookie-Kingsport
– C-1B Wilfred Astudillo: 2-4, R, 4th HR,
2-RBI, .310
The
unheralded “Dillo” debuted in 2017 as a 17-year old for the DSL-1 team (182-AB,
281). In 2018, he played for both the DSL-2 and GCL team, and is hitting .310
this year for K-Port.
That’s
an impressive three year MiLB total of 392-AB, .282 for this impressive young kid.
GCL – RP Jeffrey Colon: 2.2-IP, 0-R,
3-K
DSL-2 – C Kevin Torres: 2-2, 3-R
A stud "dillo" -- 43% CS (9/21) and 3 PB in 122 Inn to go with his .310/.378/.471.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward.
Astudillo's bro catches for Minnesota and never fans - or walks. 4 walks and 8 Ks in 230 MLB plate appearances.
ReplyDeleteMaybe our Astudillo has a big league future, too.
Megill looks like a pitching beast on the rise. Last 2 starts? 10.1 IP, 6 hits, not runs, 18 Ks for St Lucie. Wow. Wow. Wow.
Between him, Sanchez and Alvarez, our future catching looks very bright. When Ramos' contract runs out after next season (unless we extend him), Sanchez could be ready to take over. 👍
ReplyDeleteIt was an off year for Tebow with the injuries.
