Do you
see a utility player here for us in an infield role?
I wonder if they will save the $$ and expand utility use of Luis Guillorme.
ReplyDeleteLast 30 games, limited at bats (46), he was very effective at .300/.391/.475. He has the glove, too. Why not? They will need to spend on other higher priorities.
If not, they could do a cheap one year deal, most likely, for Neil Walker, who did reasonably well for the Marlenes.
I don't happen to think we need any help on 2B in 2020.
ReplyDeleteCano will be our go to guy.
McNeil can step in.
And I like your idea on Luis. He's Mets tested any has learned to live with the NY pressure.
As you said, bigger fish to fry especially since our owner will probably only open the big purse open for our new manager.
Wilmer Flores

ReplyDeleteFlores had a nice season. Look for his current team to pick up his option.
Of course, the stupidest thing to do would be to re-sign Joe Panik who only plays 2B and is also left handed. Guillorme is the way to go.
