Post: Mayor de Blasio’s cagey response on blocking Mets’ sale to Steve Cohen.
“This is something our Law Department is evaluating right now and we obviously
want to get to a resolution on this very quickly,” he said. “The deal is this:
Because the land that Citi Field is on and the stadium belong to the city, the
city always has to have a role when there is an ownership change.”

before the Cubs caught a look at him playing for a professional team in Italy.
They brought him in on a minor league pact, and Garcia showed off light-tower
power at Triple-A in 2019 — 21 homers in 296 plate appearances — before being
called up.”

ReplyDeleteWonder if TJ Rivera will ever see the light of major league day again. Odd to say that about a career .300+ hitter.
Good to see some young 'uns getting some competitive playing time.
I wonder if Arozarena has any more tricks up his sleeve?
You would have thought that the last Place Nationals would have given TJ a shot last year but I guess he did not impress at their off site camp. We will probably see him playing ball this winter.
