Draftsite posted up his first 2020 mpck draft on Draft Site and he had a familiar face at 1.10:
Alex Binelas 3rd Louisville
robmorrison14's comments: Here's a kid who is already MLB ready. Great power and defense at 3rd base. He reminds me of a prime Kris Bryant. Although he may never get the MVP that Kris did, he will be a valuable piece for the Mets who need help in that infield.
11-20-2020 - D1Baseball @d1baseball
A high-slot RHP with a good, repeatable delivery, Ethan Smith pounded the zone at 90-93 mph with a high-spin FB (up to 2526 rpm, and repeatedly above 2400) and a swing-&-miss slider at 81-84
11-23-20 - 3YR SO Matthew Sox may have been the most pleasant surprise of the fall for Utah. The 6'3" Sox was a two-way player at D3 Whitman College (Wash.) and he has been 90-92 with an above average curveball.
Austin Krob, a 6'3" 205lb LHP, was the story of the fall for TCUl. @austin_krob shined in 7 appearances for the Frogs last season and is ready to become a premier starting pitcher
11-19-20 - draftsite
1.17 Braden Forsyth RHP Mississippi
robmorrison14's comments: The Reds always need great pitchers given I could probably hit a dinger down the LF line at their ballpark. They seem to have a solid rotation going but they still need to closeout games and Braden is destined to be one of the next best closers in the game.
Prep Baseball Report - @prepbaseball
One of the biggest risers in the '21 Updated Rankings is outfielder Lonnie White Jr. (Malvern Prep, PA). Also a WR recruit for Penn State, he easily passes the eye test with his physical 6-foot-3, 200-pound frame.
11-24-20 - Ian Smith - @FlaSmitty
LHP Ryan Webb will be one of the first college LHP off the board in the 2021 Draft. FB sitting 92-95 T96, while holding velo late in outing this fall. IVB averaging over 20” and nearly 2500rpm of efficient spin. Pairs w/ a high spin, high 70s CB and above avg. CH
Joe - @JoeDoyleMiLB
Webb had big, big interest in the 2020 MLB Draft. Number was said to be a little too high, but there were teams that had a 2nd round grade on him. Stuff was ticking up in a shortened season. If he gets the innings in 2021, he could be a Top 50 pick.
Razorback Baseball Scout Team - @Razorbacks18U
Standout performer from Pastime All Scout Fall Wood Bat Championship
Reed Marcum C / 1B - @MarcumReed
Class of ‘21 5-14
Homerun Two Triples 4 RBI 4 R 2 SB BB
Multiple LOUD outs
Pastime All-Scout - @PastimeAllScout
Reed Marcum with an oppo home run in the championship game of the Fall Prospect Wood Bat Nationals!
Class of 2021 South Laurel HS (KY)
6-3, 240lbs C/1B
Razorback Baseball Scout Team - @Razorbacks18U
Reed Marcum hammered baseballs all weekend. Big, strong C / 1B with a rocket arm and a 4.0 GPA
11-25-20 - Prospects Live @ProspectsLive
Minnesota RHP J.P. Massey is one of the more fun pitchers in the 2021 MLB Draft. Velo ticking up, touching 97 now. Slider has been said to be "better than Max Meyer's" by some.
11-27-20 - Ian Smith @FlaSmitty
Jackson Baumeister (FL) is becoming one of my favorite 2-way players in the 2021 class, and I might like him as a SP over C.
Plus command of a three pitch mix led by a heavy spin FB that sit low 90s T94 with arm side run. Shows feel for spin on CB with heavy break. CH flashes
Nice to see a HS prospect list, can't wait for next year's draft.
ReplyDeleteThe idea of me posting all this stuff so early is to hopefully educate all the readers so they are better equipt on draft day.
