 PG -

Bobby Marsh is a 2021 1B/OF with a 6-3 198 lb. frame from Bellefonte, PA who attends Bellefonte Area. Strong and projectable athletic build. Left handed hitter, hits from a slightly open upright stance, hands driven swing, middle of the field to pull side aproach, handles the barrel well, lots of power in his lower half waiting to be unleashed. 7.69 runner, sound fundamental defensive actions at first base defensively.

Buzz: High school first basemen can often be tough to scout just since so much relies on their bat, but it helps when the bat is as explosive as that of Bobby Marsh. The Bellefonte first baseman was a monster in his freshman season, slugging seven homers and building on that the following year by slugging .661. Marsh has a discerning eye at the plate that has helped him draw plenty of walks in his first two seasons and makes him an exciting hitter to watch at the plate. Florida Atlantic has the early commitment on his services, but if he continues to build on what he’s already accomplished and continues to impress, MLB teams should be making a play for him.

2/23/20 - Florida Atlantic commit. 6-foot-3, 200-pound left-handed hitter starts from a square stance and uses a short leg-hang stride to begin. Shows balance throughout with loose hands that work well through contact. Creates consistent backspin with present power to the pull side. Registered a bat exit velocity of 89 mph and ran a 7.67 60-yard dash. Shows light feet and a soft glove hand around the bag at first base with 78 mph arm strength across the diamond.
