Good news. Just spoke to Davey’s wife. He is home and resting comfortably. Got his treatment at hospital and now taking it easy. Keep the good thoughts coming.

I’m the guy who has been telling you that the Mets probably won’t exceed the luxury tax and probably won’t sign Trevor Bauer. Now I’m the guy feeling like that could change.https://t.co/wvzqyts6A9

Matt Netter Mets360: The Mets dodged a bullet with George Springer. “…four of the main cogs on this team will hit free agency when this coming season ends – Francisco Lindor, Michael Conforto, Noah Syndergaard, and Marcus Stroman. in order to have a chance to bring back two or hopefully three of them and keep the band together for sustained winning, we’re going to have to keep our 2021 spending in check.”

Behind the scenes story of the 2011 MLB Draft -- which could be the best ever.
Francisco Lindor and Gerrit Cole
were among the players selected in what was a loaded draft. “At the time, it
was also an intriguing draft from a New York perspective, the first for Sandy
Alderson’s regime with the Mets. And while his selection of Brandon Nimmo in
the No. 13 spot turned out to be a solid pick, some of the players the Mets
either just missed getting or passed on turned out to be more memorable.”

Hank Aaron never struck out 100 times in a season! Nowadays it seems as though half of MLB has struck out 100 times prior to the All Star break.

Will Cohen sign Bauer? What a killer rotation that would be.
ReplyDeleteHank Aaron hit in fairly friendly hitting home parks - but his home and away splits and homers in his career were virtually IDENTICAL. A true sign of amazing greatness as a ballplayer.
He didi his best hitting in high leverage situations, unlike so many others who wilt when the spotlights glare. He also hit an amazing 40 homers in 392 ABs at age 39. And stole 240 career bases.
You could go on and on.
